Default at london/in london

Hi,
I would love to know when to use the preposition at for places, cause I was taught to use in. Can somebody tell me when and why to use AT for places? Thanks a lot.

I believe that at is less specific than in. In, unlike at, expresses the inclusion of something within time, space, and circumstance. I hope this helps you out. :)
