Default Articles usage

Could someone put here some links or give detailed information about usage of articles, please?

BTW. I have a question connected with that topic.
What is the difference between these sentences:
1) The lion is dangerous for people.
2) Lion is dangerous for people.
3) Lions are dangerous for people.
4) The lion is dangerous for the people.

Thank you
