past tense/ present perfect / present perfect continuous

I've created three sentences.
Please compare.
I ask you to tell me which sentence is correct and why.

He has worked all his life. Now he's retired and is living in the country.
He has been working all his life. Now he's retired and is living in the country.

Your first sentence is not correct ED locates the event in the past without any link to the present of the utterance ( here Hes retired)
2) Present perfect seems OK. this tense underlines the end of an event with a connection to the present(work-time over-->retirement)3) might be OK and puts the stress on the verb ' work' understand he has worked enough !!! now it's time for a deserved retirement
