As the saying goes: a house is not a home...;-)
"House" is a physical object
"Home" is a concept - in itself it has no physical structure. Depending on context, "I am going home" can mean "I am going back to the house in which I and my family live" or "I am going back to my own country".
I agree with Anglika.
A house- a place, a building which people live, residence for human beings, something like a shelter where you live in.
A home-*a place in which one's affections are centred or concentrated. A home is not neccssarily a 'building' it can also be a contry (e.g. my country, my home)
*depending on the sentence is construted it can mean different things
Note: Home is where the heart is.
something that you say which means that your true home is with the person or in the place that you love most. I don't mind moving round the world with Chris. Home is where the heart is.
