"Mouth starts watering"

When we see our favourite tasty food,our mouth starts watering.Isn't it?:-) I have this experience.I think everyone has this experience.
Is "mouth starts watering" correct?
Is there any other term instead of this?

I am not sure but i think an alternative should be:
