Could someone please let me know if there are any mistakes in the following text? The reason I was absent on Wednesday, March 15th, 2007, was my spinal pain. I had been completely bedridden, since my doctor had prescribed rest. Therefore, I feel I should be allowed to use sick. Meanwhile, thank you and I assure you of my continuing efforts. Thanks a lot in advance.

You can say like this: I couldn't come to work yesterday since I had pain on my spinal cord.My doctor prescribed bed rest and I spent the whole day on bed. I think the sentence "...allowed to use sick ..."is redundant. It will be understood.

Thanks a million, Cherran! Could you please tell me one more thing? Is the last line (i.e. Meanwhile, thank you and I assure you of my continuing efforts.) correct?
