Sending c.c. letters

Hi,
I have just written to my MP, at the bottom of the letter I have put c.c. and then the names of the people I am sending copies to. When I send the copies do I put something at the top of the copy letter to show it is a copy or do I enclose a covering letter saying it is a copy for their attention or do I just send it as it is?

Usually you put a handwritten checkmark next to the name of the person on the cc list to whom you are sending the letter.
