Train

Hi,
Please, which is correct/better?
1. She got on the wrong train.
2. She got on _to the wrong train.
3. She got onto the wrong train.

I'd use 1, but 3 is OK.

I agree with Tdol. 'Onto' puts more of a focus on the actual act - the physical event: 'She got onto the train while it was moving'. So 3's not wrong, but the circumstances that would call for it are rarer.
