In this sentence : I locked the door in order that we might continue our discussion peacefully.

1- Is might here used for pesent tense? ie : to continue our dicusion now ? or it is talking about a situation in the past (a dicussion happened in the past) ?if it only for present , how to say the same sentence for the past tense?

2- In each cases above ( whether it was for past or present) ,can might be replaced by could with the same meaning ?

Locked anchors the event in the past with no link to the present. Therefore, might refers to a past discussion.
Might can well be replaced by might with slightly the same meaning.
I've locked the door so that we can , may could might continue ..
