is it logon or login
and is it two words or just one

You'll see both in and on used. You will see them written as one word, though this is often when they are used as a noun. It is more common to write log in or log on. I would say log in to or log on to, though into/onto are also fine. Some use log on for entering a computer system and log in for doing something when on the computer like entering this forum.
