the use of the verb "perform"

Hello, teachers!

I have some doubts about the verb perform. Can you use it with the word activity?I mean, can you say, "These activities have been performed by the students"? And with work? Can you say: "Students have performed a work"?
It doesn't sound very good to me, but I have a plan where I have to write the used language functions, and since the topic is "Languages' Day", where students can do whatever work they like about British or American culture and traditions, I need to write the language functions involved. I thought it was a good idea to write : "According to the performed activity / work", but I'm afraid tha's not correct, is it? Could you give me a hint on this, and then explain in which situations you use "to perform"?

It doesn't sound good in either of those to me. It would sound better to me to say 'the students have done these activities/done this work'.
