Default romped over victorious

Bangladesh romped home victorious over Bermuda by an emphatic seven-wicket margin to enter the Super Eight stage of the World Cup on a rain-interrupted day at Port of Spain on Sunday.

I found romp mean = to play in a rough, excited and noisy way.

Still I don't understand the highlighted group of words.

Could you explain it please?
