Mr Tim was a greedy farmer. He had many hens that laid eggs twice a week. He sold / would sell the eggs a the market and make / made a lot of money.
Which verbs in bold pint should I use?

You can use both Sold/would sell in this context.
If it was sold, you must use `made'.
If it was would sell, you can use both `made' and `make'?
He makes a lot of money = [simple present] [makes not make]
Generally, He makes a lot of money by doing that.
He made a lot of money. [simple past]
In the past he did that which he may not continue now.
