In the US, the two major political parties are the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. In general, the former is left (liberal) to center and the latter is center to right (conservative), although southern Democrats tend to be more conservative than other Democrats.

Need a little more help. :)
As you define those two parties with two new words 'liberal' and 'conservatives', I want you to please define them in your own words pluse give me two or more sentence example of these words in a political context so I will understand them clearly. :0)

I will do that, but I must first provide a statement that the parties are not homogeneous and there is considerable overlap around the middle of the spectrum of political thought.
Republicans tend to prefer smaller government (both in numbers of social programs and extent of government intrusion into local affairs). They would tend to be for lower taxes, fewer government regulations, and strict interpretation of the US Constitution. Republicans tend to be pro-business, support a strong defense, and individual responsibility.
Democrats tend to prefer larger government (more social programs and more government regulation). They would tend to be for higher taxes (and distribution of wealth form higher income people to lower income people), more government regulation (to force compliance with broader goals), and a proactive interpretation of the US Constitution (to correct perceived inequities in the system). Democrats tend to be pro-labor (including labor unions), support more moderate defense sepnding, and collective responsibility.
