Please tell me the diferrence between the following sentences
I came from london yesterday
I had come from london yesterday
The past perfect (HAD + past participle) connects two events in time. The event that happened first is the one that carries the past perfect verb.
Ex: I had (just) come from London when you visited me yesterday.
1st event: I came from London
2nd event: You visited me, yesterday.
All the best.
Note, you need not add in "just" as I had. It just sounds clearer to me that way.
