As the campaign for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections reached a fever pitch, Bollywood stars Mahima Choudhary and Chunkey Pandey lent a touch of glamour to it.

fever pitch >> things are becoming tense and competitive

lent a touch of glamour to it. The involvement of Bollywood stars in the campaign make it seem more glamorous and exciting.
