Can I say "I take faith in Christianity?
Thanks in advance.
I'm sure you could, but it is more common to say "I am a Christian" or "I believe in the precepts of Christianity" (more formal).
The collocations with faith (in matters of religion) are have, keep and hold , but you 'have faith in' something or someone: 'I have faith in prayer'/'I have faith in God' (not in a creed). For a creed, you would say either 'I am Christian' or 'My faith is Christian' (or 'I hold the Christian faith') - that is, if you use 'faith' at all, the right verb is "hold a/the ... faith"; otherwise, make 'faith' the subject.
