could you please tell me which of the following is gramatically correct:
1) The equipment will be handed over after mutual signing of the contract.
2) The equipment will be handed over after mutual signing the contract.

Sentence 1 is correct.'mutual' is the adjective. It's the signing of the contract that is mutual. In 2 it seems as if 'mutual' is doing the signing.
