| When you are in your house with your family, you are "at home". When someone is in an institution (for the disabled or the elderly), they are "in a home". There is no common usage of "in home". |

| In AmE, we use "in-home" to describe a service that is provided to you at your house. For example, in-home nursing care, or in-home assembly (if you buy a large piece of furniture that comes in separate pieces and needs to be put together). |
