Thank you for fast reply Anglika.
So am I right if I say either 'I am going for holiday to Provence this summer' or 'I am going on holiday to Provence this summer' ? Both are equal?
Thanks.

The first version would be better as :'I am going for a holiday to Provence this summer' or 'I am going to Provence for my holidays this summer.'

You could also say 'I'm going to holiday in Provence this summer.'

In my experience, the British and Australians go "on holiday". It would be very unusual for an American English speaker to use the phrase. They go "on vacation." If a specific place is named [e.g. The Grand Canyon"} the most common phrase is "for vacation" after the place name. "I went to the Grand Canyon for vacation."

holiday=BrE
vacation=AmE

Since the original post was about 'holiday' we stuck to that.
