    can u change this sentence to passive?
    john tells me that you are thinking of leaving

    here's my try:
    I am told that you're thinking of leaving.
    OR
    that you're thinking of leaving is told to me.
    ...
    My thinking is that if the tense of the sentence you provided implies a recent or current action, can we then modify the tense when changing into the passive? that is: (tells --> being told = current) OR (tells --> 've been told = recent)
    I am being told that you are thinking of leaving
    OR
    I've been told that you're thinking of leaving.
    ....
    Hope to hear some other answers
