A slang term to describe a couple getting married is "they tied the knot." In this case, the writer is making a bit of a pun using "knot" instead of "not."

I agree with Ouisch - it's a headline, so "knot" is a pun and a reference to the idiom.

If you follow the link you will see that this is a headline and therefore a pun by the writer. Since the story is about a marriage between two people of different religeons, the usage of "knot" is correct.
