Default preview and review

Can I say preview or review lessons in the following sentnece?

To perform better on your exam, you have to review and preview your class materials( textbooks, lessons). It will help you to understand better the class materials that your instructors cover.

( I would appreciate it if you could correct any mistakes)

review is the correct word to use; better still would be "revise" = 3 Brit. re-read work done previously in order to prepare for an examination.

"in your exam"

Hi! I am not sure what you mean by revise? you mean i can use revise instead of review? Also, except for preposition mistakes, is there any other mistake?

Yes - to revise means to re-read the notes and information from your classes and make sure you remember what you were taught.

No other mistakes (and if you are writing for an American reader, "on" would be acceptable in this context).
