I can not get the right meaning out of this sentence, would you please give me an short paraphrasing of it.

To hold one's self to the same rigorous standards of evidence and proof to which one holds one's antagonists.

To hold one's self to the same rigorous standards of evidence and proof =You must be as clear/certain about the evidence and proof you are using in argument/discussion

to which one holds one's antagonists. = as you expect your opponents to be.
