explanation about a song
Hi,
I've got a question. My grandmother died last sunday and we cremated her last thursday. During the service there was a song from Katie Melua. The song's called : Nine Million Bicycles in Beijing. My grandfather asked me to translate the song into dutch but in that song there is a phrase I don't understand.
The interlude the text is this:
We're high on the wire
with the world in our sight
and I'll never tire
of the love that you give me every night.
What does the phrase: "we're high on the wire with the world in our sight" mean?
I hope that someone can help my grandfather and me!
Thx!
Gladys
