    Question Using don't and doesn't

I am aware that when using (I, you, we and they) it corresponds to don't.
When using (he, she, it, and my mother) it corresponds to doesn't.
When I put my friends then I have to use don't. example (My friends don't like this movie). So actually when using "my" it differentiates.

'My' is not 'I'; 'my' is a determiner like 'the','a','this', etc.
    'my friends don't' = they don't
    'my mother doesn't' = she doesn't
