lost in reverie
He was lost in reverie and forgot to have dinner.
I wonder whether lost in reverie means lost in deep thought/medication or lost in fantasy/magical thinking. Thanks.

I wonder whether
lost in reverie means
lost in deep thought
more of a dream
/medication (! 'medication' is something else) or
lost in fantasy/magical thinking
dream-like, as I said, but not actively thinking.
Thanks.
Associated with the French rêver (to dream).
