Hello,

Is it correct to say:

Punting on the Cam river
or
Punting on the river Cam ?

I have tried, but I can't think of a river in America that is called, "The River _________." People in Detroit, Chicago or New York would never refer to their rivers as "The Detroit," The Chicago" or "The East" (although you might hear "The Hudson")
