Default Present continuous uses

would you please advise me if my definition of this particular use of the present continuous is correct? :
'we use present continuous to talk about:
temporary actions that are unusual from what we usually do most of the time.
examples:
I am eating very little this week. (I usually eat a lot but this week I am not eating much-i am on a diet).
he is playing a lot of tennis these days.(he does not usually play tennis much but these days he is playing a lot).
the company is losing money this year.(the company usually works for profit but this year they are losing money).
you are working until late this month.(you usually work until 5 pm but this month you are working until 10 pm).
do you think there could be suggested a better explanation?
Thank you!

I'd rephrase 'unusual from'; how about 'different from'?

- except "the company usually makes a profit". A company can work for profit [that's their intention but still not make one.
