    Question Learning Disability

I would appreciate some advice I have a 19 year old with a learning disablity. Her spoken English is good although she doesn't use complicated structures. Much younger for her age. Her written English needs to improve and she gets the grammar in the wrong tenses and can not always understand instructions hence why she always fails exams. How can I help. She enjoys writing stories and at present I try and correct these and give her explanations but anything too complicated and it brings about boredom. Any suggestions she has no qualifications in English at all.I stil have to tell her when to use capital letters, paragraphs etc.

Has her learning need been indentified? There are some specialist sites here: http://www.usingenglish.com/links/Te...eds/index.html

She has now finished her schooling having attended specialist schools but in fact not much improvement. I have decided now as she can't work. I am going to spend the next year giving her one to one myself. I can't afford private tuition but I have noticed there is so much on the internet that I should be able to help her somehow. Thank you

There do seem to be some very god sites on the internet, with a lot of support groups. I hope it goes well for both of you.
