Default syntax again

I want you to ask sthg...can you help me? I have an syntax exam on wednesday...I couldn't understand mood in syntax. what is the meaning 'residue' in syntax? Also can you explain 'theme' in syntax?

According to Halliday's functional grammar, a clause can be divided into Mood and Residue, and it can be divided into Theme and Rheme.
