Default glanced another four off his third

Gilchrist lofted successive balls to leg for four and six in the left-armer's second over, glanced another four off his third and Hayden slashed his first boundary over point.

Please explain the highlighted group of words.

Please explain the highlighted group of words.
Gilchrist hit [one ball after another] to leg for four [runs] and six [runs] in the left-armer (Gilchrist)'s second over, hit another [at an angle] for four [runs] off the third ball bowled in this over, and Hayden slashed his first boundary (hit a ball which reached the boundary of the pitch) over the fielder in this position: fielding position on the off side, square of the striker's wicket
