[2] I wanted to be a star (when I was a child). <speaking about the past>

1. I still want to be a doctor like I wanted before.
2. I want to be a doctor as I wanted before.
3. I want to be a doctor which I wanted before.

[2] I want to be a doctor, as I wanted to before. <as + subject + verb>
[3] I want to be a doctor, which is what I wanted before.
