Default sign name?

There is label on our cloths giving information about how to do laundry.What is it called? ...... signs?

Okay, okay, I agree with you, but the thing they're written on is a tag. Right? I think that what is wanted is a specific name for the object.

I posted mine at the same time you posted yours. I didn't see yours until now. I don't know whether the "it" referred to the "label" or the "information". "Tag" is a good choice, but so is "label". :wink:

I've seen it referred to as a care instruction label.

It is also referred to (apparently less often) as a care instruction tag.

That's right. Care instruction tag/label is a better name for it because the garment cannot always be laundered, and instructions for pressing and drying, etc. are part of the information .
