Default to walk a few steps

What does 'to walk' mean in the sentence:

I could move my legs, stand on them, finally walk a few steps.

Thanks in advance.

Psst... West Chica,

in case you don't know what "literal" means:

"The literal sense of a word or phrase is its most basic sense."

There's basically nothing abstract or related to the idioms here.

Take the sentence as it is.
