Smile stand corrected

I often see peole use the expression--I stand corrected. It seems that I get the general picture but when I try to rephrase it, I find it difficult. Does it mean "I accept being corrected if I am wrong" or "I'm happy to be corrected?"

Yes, you have the idea.

The way I see it, it means:

"I completely admit I was wrong and I'm glad I was corrected"

Which is very similar to what you've already said.

Thank you, Noego, for your kindness.
But what is wrong is wrong. Therefore, I stand corrected.
