stuffy image
He is trying to promote a less stuffy image of the Conservatives.
What does `stuffy image' and `Conservatives' mean in this context?
Please help me.

Re: stuffy image
"Conservative" as a word means someone who resists change, or sees change as something that must be carefully managed. In British politics, the Conservative Party is generally seen as very old-fashioned and not very forward looking in political and social matters. David Cameron is trying to change this "stuffy" image for one that is more aggressive.
I am guessing because there is not really enough context.
