Default errors in sentences

A: He waited 2 hours until I came back.
B: He waited 2 hours until I had come back.

I sense that both sentences are not correct. Could someone rephrase them for me?

Thanks in advance.

I think the first one is correct, since it sounds ok than the other rather. Sorry that I can't really rephrase them.
