use of auxiliaries

When is it o.k. to drop the auxiliaries in composite tenses and when do you have to keep them ? Is there a rule or is this purely ad hoc ?
For example in the sentence : "By the time you get back, I will have picked up the trash and [will have] finished the job." Does it work the same for all composite tenses ?

Auxiliaries are those verbs that help you build a composite tense. for ex: have been or has been, "have" and "has" are auxiliaries.

Your example is fine. When the verbs are close together and there's nothing to confuse the reader/listener, it is fine to drop them.
