| maybe, you can be friendly, by asking how is the baby, and also by trying to be interested, by asking whether it is a boy or a girl |

| I would say something along the lines of "I hear that you and [ xxxx] are due to have a baby soon, and would like to congratulate you both. My very best wishes for your future family." {I am presuming that she is in a stable relationship!} |
