I want to ask on how to state this saying correctly. I know it's familiar, so please let me know the proper version of this saying if you know. Let I state the saying in my own words:
"One who never looks back, shall not come into its destination"

Hmmm...This is a toughie. There is this one: "He that looks not before finds himself behind." But that doesn't seem to fit what you want. You want the opposite. There's also: "If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you're going." This is the best I can do. Perhaps someone else reading this will have his memory jogged and be able to do better.
I remember someone said something like:
Those who do not remember their history are dommed to repeat it.
"If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you are going."
