Default Help with translating.

Hi there. I'm translating into portuguese a text of Carol Shields "The Republic of Love"
I really don't understand the meaning of "Moon and June and spoon and soon. September and Remember. Lord Byron, Edna St. Vincent Millay."

In context:

"Love belongs in an amateur operetta, on the inside of a jokey greeting card, or in the annals of an old-fashioned poetry society.Moon and June and spoon and soon. September and Remember. Lord Byron, Edna St. Vincent Millay. It's womanish, it's embarassing (...)"

Can you help me?

Moon and June and spoon and soon. September and Remember References to the mawkish and sentimental rhymes used in greetings cards and so-on such as these:

GREETING CARD RHYMES NO.1 {valentines} by The Warrior Poet at All poetry

Lord Byron, Edna St Vincent Millay poets who wrote romantic poems.
