I know "be/get used to" has the continous meaning when compare with "used to", but why there are such sentences:
"In Japan, Maddy got used to different kinds of food"
"Keith wasn't used to living in a hot country so she had a few problems at first"
Those used in past tense. But why we didn't use : "
"Keith hadn't used to live in a hot country so she had a few problems at first""
The past perfect would be 'hadn't been used to', but we rarely use it; Keith's (BTW a man's name) problems occurred when he was there. If you used the past perfect, you would imply that his problems had been before he went there.
