hi,

What is the difference between the following two sentences :

1) what u said ?

) what did you say ?

confuzzled. pls help

Btw, I have lots of friends saing ''What you said?'', or, better said ''Whacha said?''...

Are you trying to encourage learners to use such a sentence, Ben?

The only people I've ever heard saying "What you said?" were some of my students in beginner ESL classes. This is a typical beginner mistake. By the end of the course, they were generally able to correctly say "What did you say?"
