expectations
My question is do options #1, #2 and #3 suit the context below?
The event/the results/the job/the new software................expectations.
1. wasn't up to
2. failed to/didn't live up to
3. failed to/didn't measure up to
Can we also say "the event/the results/the job/the new software didn't measure up" and "the event/the results/the job/the new software exceeded/surpassed (all) expectations"?
