A CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED TV Series: The critics have all thought it was a terrific series and said so in their reviews.

What does `review' mean in this sentence?

As far as I knew, to review means to view again but this meaning does not fit with above sentence. More even, I have looked into few dictionaries but still I can't understand it.

Please you help me.

It's a critique. And a critique is a commentary, especially one dealing with works of art or literature, and it is being written by a critic.

I'll try this way:

CRITIQUE is a THING that one person WRITES to comment a FILM, SERIES, ACTOR, BOOK, etc.

Review in this context is a noun, and is an article in which someone - the critic - discusses [more or less anything] - a play, film, music, artwork, book - usually giving their personal opinion of it.
