Re: Need help on English Grammar Hello Jason, Appreciate your input on this. I am trying to verify if 'game arcade' is the correct term to use, as I find it weird. I was having this dispute with my daughter's school as to which is the correct term. I looked up both the Oxford and Cambridge dictionary which made such a place known as 'amusement arcade' not 'game arcade'. The term 'arcade game' is being used when referring to the activity itself. Therefore, I concluded that 'game arcade' is wrong and a grammatical mistake when used in the 'place' context. However, up til now the school apparantly still adamantly insist that 'game arcade' is right. In addition, you did not mention if 'game arcade' is the correct term to use when referring to the place, itself. It is greatly appreciated if you would tell me if the term is correct or wrong and explain to me the rationale behind it. Rdgs Grace |
