when addressing a letter, which is proper:
Dear Carol & Joe or Dear joe and Carol?

If you are asking about the proper order for the names, there is no rule about this. People will often list the names in order of how well the know the individuals. :wink:

I would put the name of the person I was closer to first. If I were equally close to both, then I'd use whichever sounded better.
