What's the difference between Laid off and Fired . . . . . from work?
1. I just want know the difference between the two of those when it comes to the "EXTENT" of being dismissed from work. Please help me using detailed explanation thanks a lot!!

'Lay off' in this context means - retrenchment, so company may compensate at least a month's salary, depending on how long you have been working in the organization.
'Fired' - usu when an employee make a grave mistake, which constitutes immediate dismissal of the employee with no compensation.
