    Default Simple gramatical question

    In the following sentence:

At the account opening, you should be alert to warning signs...

Why use "warning" and not "warn"?

I always see sentence structure like this, but never know the reason.

    Please help.

    Default Re: Simple gramatical question

"warning" is the adjectival form of the verb "to warn" [adjective
: serving as an alarm, signal, summons, or admonition]
